In this clip, we see Apa Tani villagers preparing the rice fields for cultivation. Note the sexual division of labour and the involvement of the children. Haimendorf documented this in his book, and wrote of the sled-like device used to shift heavy loads of earth used to repack the walls of the terraces. Various stages in the rice cultivation cycle are shown here.
